ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Golden Knights are moving on to the second round after defeating the Minnesota Wild, 3-2, in Game 6 of their first-round series Thursday at Xcel Energy Center.

The Knights will next face the winner of the Los Angeles Kings-Edmonton Oilers series. The Oilers lead the series 3-2 entering Thursday’s Game 6 in Edmonton.

Center Jack Eichel and captain Mark Stone had a goal and an assist each, and defenseman Shea Theodore scored to put the Knights into the second round for the fifth time in eight seasons.

Wild center Ryan Hartman scored both Minnesota goals.

Goaltender Adin Hill made 29 saves and improved to 4-0 all time in Game 6 as the Knights’ goaltender.
