DETROIT — Big Sean will perform his 2015 album "Dark Sky Paradise" in full, for the first time, during a free concert Sunday night at Saint Andrews Hall in Detroit, he announced on Wednesday.

Tickets for the event, titled "A Night of Dark Sky Paradise," are available at 3 p.m. Friday. Fans can sign up for access to tickets at laylo.com/bigsean, which requires a cellphone number for registration.

"Dark Sky Paradise," Big Sean's third album, was released in February 2015. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 chart, and it included the singles "IDFWY," "Paradise" and "Blessings."

In April, when summer tour dates were announced for Russ' upcoming tour with Big Sean as opener, fans noticed there were no Detroit dates on the itinerary. "I got something way too special for Detroit!!!" Sean replied in the comments of the Instagram post of the tour announcement.

Big Sean performed several times in Detroit in 2024, including appearances at the NFL Draft, at the reopening concert for Michigan Central Station, and a private concert at the Detroit Institute of Arts. His last full public show was at the Mo Pop concert at Hart Plaza in July 2022, and his last headlining ticketed concert in the city since a 2017 performance at the Fox Theatre, which came in support of his "Dark Sky Paradise" follow-up, "I Decided."

Big Sean released his most recent album, "Better Me Than You," in August 2024. Earlier this year, he released a self-help book, "Go Higher: Five Practices for Purpose, Success, and Inner Peace."

Earlier this year, "Dark Sky Paradise" was rereleased on vinyl for its 10th anniversary.
