Elon Musk offered influencer Ashley St. Clair $15 million and monthly payments of $100,000 to keep their newborn child a secret, according to a new report.

A DNA test confirmed the Tesla owner’s “probability of paternity” is 99.9999% according to the Wall Street Journal. The report also reveals Musk’s son with St. Clair is named Romulus, but the tech giant’s last name is not on the birth certificate.

Musk hasn’t directly commented on the reports about his newborn son, but he did however share a post on X expressing his displeasure for The Wall Street Journal writing, “TMZ >> WSJ.”

Musk allegedly told St. Clair that he is “#2 after Trump for assassination” in text messages seen by the outlet, noting this as the reason he found it too dangerous to make the baby news public. He added that “only the paranoid survive.”

According to the report, St. Clair declined the $15 million package offer, saying that it would make her son feel “illegitimate.” The 26-year-old influencer also noted the agreement didn’t provide the child with a trust fund in case Musk were to become ill or die.

St. Clair first announced in February on Musk’s social media platform, X, that she’d welcomed a child fathered by the tech billionaire.

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” she wrote. “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”

After the announcement, Musk rescinded his original $15 million offer to St. Clair, and dropped the $100,000 monthly payments to $40,000 and then later to $20,000, per the Wall Street Journal.

Musk admitted to making payments to St. Clair, but questioned whether the child was actually his.

“I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out,” he wrote via X. “No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”

In February, the SpaceX CEO was confronted with another baby announcement when technology executive Shivon Zilis shared that she’d given birth to her fourth child with Musk, bringing his total offspring to 14.
